This Friday Is Last Poet Standing At Kultured Chameleon - If You Havent been Before - Don't Sleep On This!!!!!!

Last Poet Standing Is This Friday!!!!!!

Last Poet Standing is a spoken word competition/open mic/feature series that runs monthly from April to September. Poets compete for a $100 prize by getting their name drawn from a bucket and calling out a fellow poet. The poet's name that was called must approach the mic and say, "My name is _____, and my poetry is HOTTER than _____!" Both poets face each other as a coin is tossed to determine who chooses the first poet to perform. There are five randomly selected judges in the audience that will hold up a #1 or a #2 which depicts the poet the felt out performed the other. This process continues until there is only one Last Poet Standing! The winner receives $100 cash and is eligible to compete for
$1000 in September.

There are few rules in the competition: No music or instrumentation. No props. No dropping the mic. Your poem mustn't last longer than 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Your time starts when you speak or gesture to the audience!!!

The registration fee is $20 per poet.

Entrance fee is $10. It's worth it. Trust me. If not, holla at me.

Event is ALL ages, however, be aware there will undoubtedly be foul language and adult subject matter. Why all ages? Because it's never too soon to introduce the youth to the awesomeness that is spoken word and StanzaLIFE.

There will be an open mic from 8pm to 9pm! Sign up begins at 7pm!!!

The evening's poetry feature is Raenaldo Torres (Buffalo, NY)! He's dope and you don't wanna miss him!
